Seasonal vegetable garden
Our ancestors’ livelihoods revolved around the sea, the land they cultivated and the sheep they herded. They lived from what they created with their own hands and the produce of the land. Nothing was thrown out, but rather repaired and mended. They consumed the fruits of the garden, as there was little on offer in the store. It took a lot of effort, time and love to secure the produce of the land, but nature always repaid with in the same way and with its produce. With this garden we would like to give you a small, but important part of that tradition.
Depending on the time and season of your visit, you will have available fruits and vegetables that the land provides. And some advice that will help you ensure that your work contribute to the longevity and wealth of this biological garden:
- Make sure that you don’t rip out the rootswhen you pick the salad, salad leaves are best cut with a knife, taking just the ones that you will consume right that day;
- Pick only ripe fruits;
- When you visit the garden, use the wooden and stone pathways;
